The Yangzhou Grand Canal Theatre
The Yangzhou Grand Canal Theatre, envisioned by TJAD Original Design Studio, stands in a dynamic setting, seamlessly blending the natural beauty of landscapes, the art of architecture, and the vibrancy of urban spaces. This design represents a contemporary vision of integrating public spaces into the fabric of daily life, exemplified by captivating features such as The Moon Garden and The Art Bridge within the theater. Situated between the city and the lake, the design prioritizes the fluidity of urban space, with The Moon Garden serving as an inviting centerpiece open to all. Additionally, the south-facing side of the building is artfully constructed as an elevated bridge, creating a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces and offering breathtaking views of the lake.

Integral Iluminacion Commercial Building
The Integral Iluminacion Commercial Building, designed by Jannina Cabal & Arquitectos and completed in 2014, is a striking example of contemporary architecture in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The building is on two diamond-shaped plots and features a unique facade with two distinct volumes. One volume is wrapped in a geometric-patterned fabric inspired by a diamond plan decomposed into irregular triangles. At the same time, the other is a sleek glass prism supported by an exposed metal structure that creates a parking area beneath a large roof. The facade combines a medium gray textile mesh with RGB LED lighting that allows dynamic color changes, complemented by dark gray metal structures and expansive glass surfaces. Inside, simplicity prevails with concrete floors, white walls, and natural light enhanced by an interior courtyard and a fountain, creating an inviting atmosphere despite the building’s commercial nature.
