The Amazing Walk
The Amazing Walk, envisioned by MAD Architects for Milan Design Week 2024, offers an immersive environment to behold. Comprising hundreds of triangular units that emulate a mountain, soaring to a height of 7.5 meters without relying on columns, this design beckons visitors to embark on a journey of exploration and imagination, fostering a profound connection with both self and nature.
The Villa for Younger Brother
“The Villa for Younger Brother,” designed by nәxtoffice, stands as a unique architectural project in a small inner lot in Lavasan, Iran. It embraces the challenge of constructing a striking building in a private urban setting through its innovative curved V-shaped plan. This layout not only places the yard, with views of a riverbed, between the wings of the building but also introduces a special shape that reimagines traditional sloped roofs. The building’s sloped roof, an exaggerated version of the historical architectural style found in northern Iran, creates a variety of interior spaces, including both large and cozy areas. The custom trapezoidal sections of the roof match the curvatures of the interior, eliminating the need for artificial stucco and adding to the overall aesthetic with a mix of Gothic proportions and feminine grace. This results in a visually striking design that fits seamlessly with its surroundings, offering privacy and an enchanting spatial experience.
